In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (Ontario), the Town does not own, operate, control, endorse, or moderate the social media accounts, websites, or online content of any election candidate or registered third party.

Use of our social media sites and their contents is at your own risk.  You must not rely on any content published on or linked from our website and social media channels without first making your own enquiries to verify it is accurate, current and complete. Any views, opinions, statements, or information expressed on candidate social media accounts are solely those of the individual candidate or registered third party and do not represent the views, positions, or policies of the Town.

References to the Town, Town facilities, Town programs, or Town officials within candidate social media content may be prohibited and does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or approval from the Town.

Campaign Advertisements under Section 88.3(1) of the Municipal Elections Act means any broadcast, print, electronic or other medium that has the purpose of promoting or supporting a candidate.

Your 2026 Election Candidates

The filing period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election nominations opened May 1, 2026 at 8:30AM and closes August 21, 2026 at 2:00PM.

On August 24, 2026, Certification Day, the Town Clerk will examine all filed nomination forms and, when satisfied, certify the nominations or, if applicable, declare any candidates elected by acclamation.
